The actress has shifted her focus on writing and directing
Lena Dunham rose to fame with her hit show Girls before stepping way from acting and shifting her focus towards writing and directing.
The 39-year-old has now opened up about her decision to invest all her time and energy in directing.
The Girls star has revealed that she took the decision to stop acting because she was tired of people dissecting her appearance.
“Having my body dissected was a reason that I chose in general to step back from acting a little bit more and focus on my writing and my directing, and also just make different kinds of choices as an actor.”, Lena told The Independent.
Lena’s new show Too Much explores the issues that she has dealt with in her own life.
“It’s about your appetite for food, your appetite for life, your wants, your needs, your desires", she explained.
