Anne Hathaway opens up about ‘special’ note by Taylor Swift

Anne Hathaway is opening up about the time she attended the Eras Tour in Germany from the performer herself, Taylor Swift.

The Devil Wears Prada actress is set to star in the upcoming A24 film Mother Mary which is heavily inspired by the global popstar and the former revealed what it was like to see her in person.

In an interview with Stephen Colbert on the Late Show, the Les Misérables actress dished that when the Cruel Summer singer appeared on stage the entire arena began cheering and that she made the audience feel very loved.

“And I’m like, ‘Oh my God, Annie, you’re so cute. You think Taylor Swift’s waving at you right now,’” Anne recalled of the concert, adding that her instincts turned out to be correct.

“Somebody tapped me on the shoulder and they said, ‘Taylor wants you to have this.’ And I went, ‘What is happening?’ And I open it and it was a note where Taylor said, ‘I’m so happy you’re here. I’m going to be enthusiastically waving at you,’” she added.

The Academy Award winner recalled thinking that Taylor was magical, and that she was right about being special.

Notably, Anne also added that she was inspired by the Eras Tor mastermind’s documentary Miss Americana in which she showed a more personal and vulnerable side of herself.
