Wanda Skyes was asked to star in the hit comedy special by actor, Kevin Hart, and now she is opening up about it.

The actress seems to be very happy and satisfied with her decision not to go to the show, The Roast of Kevin Hart.

Now, speaking with Vulture, she was asked if she was invited to the massive comedy event.

The Upshaws star stated, "I was. Kevin called me before it was announced, and I said, ‘No.’"

She also revealed how Kevin tried to persuade her into joining the famous comedians for the event, "he said, ‘Come on, Wanda. Come on. It’ll be good for your special.'"

The 62-year-old also gushed "thank god" and decided to attend the Los Angeles Sparks WNBA game instead.

In another interview with Jesse David Fox for his Good One podcast, Wanda was questioned about the roast again, and she shared why she decided to not go, "Just lazy, lazy writing. But I thought the same thing with the [2024 Tom] Brady roast too. It seems like the roasts are just recycled sexist, racist, gay jokes. Like, come on."

It is to be noted that the controversial three-hour event was a hit, although it also attracted criticism.
