Nicholas Galitzine has confessed he was more than a little starstruck on the set of Masters of the Universe, and not by his A-list co-stars, but by his own stunt double.

The 31-year-old actor, who steps into the iconic role of He-Man in the upcoming fantasy epic, admitted he was “constantly in search of validation” from stuntman Jonny James.

And by the sounds of it, he wasn’t taking the job lightly.

Nicholas revealed he threw himself into months of intense training, working side-by-side with Jonny to perfect the warrior’s movements.

“He’s such a bad***,” he said, adding that the pair spent countless hours crafting a fighting style that felt believable and grounded.

Forget just swinging a sword, this was about becoming He-Man in every sense.

The film boasts a star-studded cast including Camila Mendes, Alison Brie, Morena Baccarin, Kristen Wiig, Jared Leto and Idris Elba, but Purple Hearts star clearly had his eyes on impressing the man behind the action.

It’s a far cry from his recent turn as boyband heartthrob Hayes Campbell in The Idea of You

In fact, Nicholas has admitted his love of performing goes way back, even belting out Backstreet Boys hits like Incomplete in front of his family as a youngster.

Co-star Anne Hathaway, who joined him in the 2024 rom-com, also shared her own pop obsessions, naming Madonna’s Like a Prayer and Britney Spears’ …Baby One More Time as all-time favourites.
