BTS, a K-pop group led by the group leader, RM, previously faced a snub before the latest album, ARIRANG, release.
Notably, the newly anticipated music of the crooners, that was slated for a launch on March 20, 2026, was leaked right days before the special day.
The agency of the group, HYBE, and its subsidiary BigHit Music took no time and were said to be working on finding the culprit, who released multiple audios.
Now as per the reports by Billboard, the company filed a U.S. court petition to identify an X user who was responsible for disclosing the work.
The legal action will help the filer to unmask the culprit for “copyright infringement and damages stemming from the premature release.”
It is to be noted that despite the leak, the album has been a hit overall with garnering 110 million streams in its first 24 hours on Spotify, setting a record.
The music project also spent its first three weeks ranked No. 1 on the Billboard 200, with tour, ARIRANG, ongoing with back-to-back sold-out shows.
For the unfamiliar, the tour kicked off on April 9, 2026.
