Brenda Song has revealed she would’ve done anything to land a role in Running Point, even joking she’d “give blood” for the chance.

The 38-year-old star, who plays sharp-suited chief of staff Ali Lee in the buzzy sports drama, couldn’t hide her excitement when she first heard about the project.

Created by Mindy Kaling and starring Kate Hudson, the show was already ticking every box.

Speaking candidly, Brenda admitted, “This is my dream.”

And it’s not just the glitz of Hollywood talking but it’s a lifelong love of basketball that sealed the deal.

A die-hard fan of the Los Angeles Lakers, Secret Obsession star credits late legend Kobe Bryant for sparking her obsession.

From watching all 82 games a season to sneaking scores on set, her fandom ran deep.

“I loved it so much,” she said, recalling how producers even set up a monitor backstage so she wouldn’t miss a moment.

But behind the glamour, her journey hasn’t been easy.

The former child star, who began modelling at just six, has spoken openly about the uphill battle she faced as an Asian American actress in Hollywood.

“I’ve had to hustle my entire life,” she admitted, revealing the grit behind her success.

And she’s not the only one singing her praises.

Long-term partner Macaulay Culkin has credited Brenda as his rock, calling her his “champion” and the person who gave his life purpose.
