Pedro Pascal has recently taken a step for himself after he filed a lawsuit against Chile’s brand merchant, David Herrera.
The owner of the brandy label called Pedro Pascal, named his business after the American actor, which has made him come forward.
Notably, this comes after the brand representative successfully registered the brand name with the Chilean commercial regulator in 2023.
Now, speaking with The Guardian, David has also broken his silence against the star and revealed how the coincidence took place, "We tried a few names and Pedro Piscal stuck,"
He added, "Then we were planning a trip up to the Pisco region when suddenly we were getting strongly worded emails from lawyers. Me, a mere mortal, getting emails from a superstar actor? It scared me a bit."
Notably, the case is currently at the “evidence stage” and can reportedly take up to two years.
For the unversed, in the past, similar cases like this have occurred, and the brand has won each time, leaving the alleger behind with not much.
It is to be noted that Chile also has a history of celebrity-related puns.
