Post Malone hints at return to rap with preview of unreleased track
The singer-rapper teased new music on Instagram giving fans a taste of a rap-focused sound
Post Malone has sparked excitement among fans after teasing what appears to be a return to his hip-hop roots with a preview of an unreleased track.
"That one mofo that don't know when to leave," he captioned the clip.
The teaser features Post's signature melodic rap style drawing comparisons to his earlier projects including beerbongs & bentleys and Hollywood's Bleeding.
On the track he raps "All my money clean, not a damn stain on me / I would pop a bean, 2016 Stoney."
Fellow artist Tyla Yaweh was among the first to react commenting "Ohhhhh this a hit."
Fans also welcomed the apparent shift back toward rap after Post spent the last two years exploring different genres.
Post is currently working on his next album The Eternal Buzz although no release date has been announced.
Speaking to Billboard at Coachella last year the 31-year-old revealed he had already recorded around 35 songs for the project in Nashville.
