Tubby TV veteran Tom Selleck’s recent bulky appearance at a fast-food drive-thru in California has sparked fresh concerns about his health amid his career slump.
The American actor initially gained weight after his cop show, Blue Bloods ended its show in 2024, ending its 14-year run. But then his wife Jillie Mack pushed him to change his unhealthy lifestyle and slimmed him down.
A source revealed to Radar Online that Tom was “going so well” after he lost 15 pounds and even down on greasy foods.
But now the Magnum P.I. alum’s willpower “seems to have flown out of the window”.
Tom began eating junk in a big way, eventually the weight is piling on him and now it’s affecting his mobility, said an insider.
The source noted that most of the time, Tom “is staggering around in chronic pain due to his bad back and creaking knees which have the bane of his life for years.
Alarmingly, Tom’s spirts are low now because his dream seems to fade even though the actor put his “heart and soul” into his acting comeback.
“He still has this dream that Blue Bloods that will get some Hail Mary type of revival,” stated an insider.
The tipster shared that Tom was “talk” of former Blue Bloods costar Donnie Wahlberg that helped him land a spot on his spinoff, Boston Blue, but “none of this went anywhere, and Tom's taken it pretty badly”.
Although Donnie is hosting, narrating and producing Crime and Justice With Tom for The History Channel.
But the actor “wants a lot more than that. He's in a rut that's really got him down” noted an insider.
“And that's why he's stuffing himself with junk – even though he must surely realise he's digging his own grave with a knife and fork,” added a tipster.
