Sarah Ferguson secretly paid tribute to Princess Diana with Royal Ascot look

Sarah Ferguson, Duchess of York, made headlines at Royal Ascot not just for her fashion, but for a meaningful tribute to Princess Diana.

The 65-year-old royal re-wore a classic polka-dot dress by Catherine Walker, a designer beloved by Diana, which she originally donned in 1991.

The timeless black-and-white ensemble featured strong shoulders, contrast lapels, and a cinched waist, echoing a near-identical look worn by the late Princess of Wales to Ascot in 1988.

Paired with a wide-brimmed black hat and structured handbag, Sarah’s outfit felt like a heartfelt homage to her late friend and fellow royal.

Diana’s original dress, also by Catherine Walker, is considered one of her most elegant race day looks, polished, feminine, and forever iconic.

Sarah’s updated appearance paid tribute to that legacy, showcasing how fashion can be a form of remembrance.

This marks the second time that week Sarah has championed sustainable fashion, previously wearing a Saint Laurent jacket from 1980.

Her Ascot style not only honours Diana’s enduring influence but also proves that great fashion, and meaningful memories, truly never go out of style.
