Kate Middleton returns to signature brunette look after blonde hair divided fans

Kate Middleton has officially returned to her signature brunette look after surprising fans with her boldest blonde transformation yet.

The Princess of Wales, 43, stepped out alongside Prince William at the National Federation of Women’s Institute in Sunningdale, on Monday, honouring the third anniversary of Queen Elizabeth II’s passing. 

Royal watchers immediately noticed Kate’s locks, styled in loose curls, were back to a brunette hue with subtle highlights.

The shift comes just days after Kate stunned with honey-blonde hair during last week's visit to London’s Natural History Museum, where she showed off her lightest shade ever. 

She first debuted the brighter look near Balmoral Castle on August 24, sparking major buzz online.

While the blonde moment had fans divided, it marked a rare departure from the rich chestnut tones Kate has favoured since marrying Prince William in 2011. 

Her sun-kissed shade was also noticeably paired with her longest hair length to date.

But the lighter locks didn’t last long. By September 6, when she attended the Women’s Rugby World Cup match in East Sussex, her hair appeared darker again, pulled back in a half-up style.
