Meghan Markle has shared her unique parenting approach to teaching Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet the value of money, by encouraging them to grow and sell their own produce.
The Duchess of Sussex, 43, revealed on the Aspire with Emma Grede podcast that the young royals sell vegetables from their Montecito garden at a local farmers’ market.
“There's a cost and a price for things,” Meghan said.
“Children who are very lucky to have privilege need to understand that, just like manners, and taking care of the things around you, there is a value on things.”
Meghan described gardening as a tool for teaching patience and appreciation, saying it's “so great for children” and even therapeutic for her.
She often prepares their lunches using homegrown ingredients, recently sharing a photo of the family beagle, Mia, sniffing a fresh harvest.
“I love that I can do school drop-off, meetings, and even go to Disneyland for two days,” she said, embracing the balance between work and motherhood.
The Duchess is currently preparing for her next product launch with lifestyle brand As Ever, teasing “sweet surprises” for June 20 via Instagram.
