The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping has announced the latest addition to its cast, which is Oscar winner, Kieran Culkin.

He will be taking on the role of eccentric interviewer Caesar Flickerman, previously portrayed by Stanley Tucci.

Francis Lawrence will be directing the prequel which is an adaptation of the novel of the same name from Suzanne Collins, hitting theaters on November 20, 2026.

Other announced cast members include Joseph Zada, Whitney Peak, Mckenna Grace, Jesse Plemons, Kelvin Harrison Jr., Maya Hawke, Lili Taylor and Ben Wang.

Furthermore, Ralph Fiennes will be playing the villainous President Snow, Molly McCann and Iona Bell will portray Louella and Lou Lou, while Elle Fanning will take on the role of Effie Trinket.

The script is being written by Billy Ray, meanwhile Nina Jacobson and Brad Simpson will be producing and Cameron MacConomy will be the executive producer.

Lionsgate Motion Picture Group co-president Erin Westerman said while making the casting announcement, “Kieran’s scene-stealing presence and undeniable charm are perfect for Caesar Flickerman, the sickeningly watchable host of Panem’s darkest spectacle. Stanley Tucci made Caesar unforgettable — and now Kieran will make the role entirely his own.”
