Meghan Markle is facing major heat online after announcing Chrissy Teigen as a guest on season 2 of her Netflix series With Love, Meghan.
The Duchess of Sussex, who has long campaigned against online bullying alongside husband Prince Harry, is being called out for inviting the controversial model and TV personality, who has a very public history of cyberbullying.
Chrissy’s inclusion in the upcoming season has sparked outrage across social media, with critics calling it a “tone-deaf” move.
Fans quickly resurfaced Chrissy’s 2021 bullying scandal, where she admitted to sending cruel tweets in her past and told people, including then-teenager Courtney Stodden, to “take a dirt nap.”
Chrissy later issued a public apology and acknowledged her “insecure, immature” behavior, calling herself “a troll, full stop.”
“Meghan Markle managed to find another celebrity disliked almost as much as she is!” one critic posted on X.
Another wrote: “The Kardashians even ghosted Chrissy. Thank you Meghan for giving us more content to cringe at.”
The first season of With Love, Meghan introduced viewers to Meghan’s Hollywood circle, including Mindy Kaling and Jordana Brewster.
The second season set to drop this fall, is expected to expand the guest list, though Prince Harry and the couple’s kids will reportedly not appear.
