Meghan Markles Netflix show slammed: Very Martha Stewart, but no substance

TV host Eamonn Holmes didn’t hold back when discussing Meghan Markle’s Netflix series With Love, Meghan.

During a segment on GB News, Holmes called the Duchess of Sussex’s show overly “curated” and admitted, “There’s nothing in Meghan Markle’s house that I feel I can identify with.”

Holmes was speaking to royal commentator Ellen Coughlan, who noted the lifestyle series was “very Instagram-friendly, very Martha Stewart,” and likely targeted at “people who have time to put flowers in ice cubes.”

While she acknowledged the show might spark nostalgia for some viewers, she described it as “not my cup of tea.”

Despite the criticism, With Love, Meghan has been renewed for a second season, set to air this fall.

The show’s polished aesthetic and lack of personal vulnerability have drawn comparisons to the Kardashians, but without the raw edge many viewers expected.

As Meghan and Harry’s Netflix deal nears its end, speculation is growing about what the Sussexes’ next media move will be.

But if Holmes’ reaction is anything to go by, winning over a British audience may still be a challenge.
