Elizabeth Olsen reveals the truth about Marvel roles

Elizabeth Olsen, who is famous for playing Scarlett Witch in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, confessed that her personal taste in movies does not align with the roles she is known for.

The Avengers: Age of Ultron actress hasn’t been completely honest about her taste in movies but she is ready to set the record straight now.

Olsen candidly told on the NPR podcast, Wild Card with Rachel Martin, “I think I haven’t always successfully made choices in my work that are aligned with my personal taste and that is something I feel like I’m still trying to prove when I meet people.”

The 36-year-old continued, “Because I have spent so many years doing Marvel that I feel like all the other jobs I have to do have to really reflect my personal taste because as much as I love being a part of this world — and I’m proud of what I’ve been able to do with the character — it’s not really the art that I consume.”

Olsen had previously stated to The Hollywood Reporter that her characters in movies like The Assessment are more of a “reflection” of her personal preference, and she wants to take a break from the superhero universe to make more time for them.
