Meghan Markle is known for keeping her private life very private — and that was no different when she invited a New York Times journalist into her lavish Montecito home for a rare sit-down interview.

While it marked the first time a reporter had been granted access to the Duchess of Sussex’s personal kitchen, Meghan enforced a strict no-photo rule on the premises.

“I was allowed in on the condition that no photographs were taken in, or of, the house,” journalist Julia Moskin revealed in the profile piece.

The visit was part of Meghan’s PR rollout for her lifestyle brand As Ever and her Netflix series With Love, Meghan, both of which blend aspirational living with relatable homemaking vibes.

During the interview, Meghan casually shared that her multimillion-dollar estate features not one — but two pizza ovens, which she admits are “mostly dormant.” She also confessed that her foray into sourdough bread-making was “boring and traumatic,” quipping: “There are professionals who do that better than I ever will.”

What's included in Meghan's first As Ever drop?

As Ever's debut collection includes everything from raspberry jam and wildflower honey to crepe mix and flower sprinkles — all wrapped in Meghan’s signature Montecito-chic aesthetic.

Here’s a peek at the price tags: Raspberry spread (with keepsake packaging): $14; Wildflower honey with honeycomb: $28; Flower sprinkles: $15.

The brand’s focus is “elevated, everyday living” — think hostessing, cooking, and cozy-chic vibes for the curated kitchen shelf.
