King Charles III's wife Queen Camilla seemingly took a subtle swipe at the Duke and Duchess of Sussex with her latest move amid reports of Prince Harry's private meeting with Princess Kate.
The 76-year-old Queen invited Sarah Lancashire, Victoria Beckham and other stars for a special event at Buckingham Palace.
The Queen hosted a reception to mark 15 years since the first Women of the World (WOW) Festival at the Palace, greeting Victoria Beckham, the former pal of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
Camilla's decision to invite Victoria seems to be a message to the Sussexes as they are reportedly at odds with the fashion designer and her husband David Beckham.
Wearing a grey sleeveless dress and heels, the former Spice Girl dropped into an elegant curtsey as the Queen greeted her.
“Nice to see you again,” Camilla said. “Did you enjoy the Italian dinner. It’s was a good fun wasn’t it?”
She enjoyed moments with a host of famous female faces while celebrating women “who refuse to take no for an answer.”
Actresses Sarah Lancashire and Ruth Jones, make-up artist Charlotte Tilbury, barrister Cherie Blair, and designer Victoria Beckham were among the guests.
Camilla, who is President of WOW, also shared her meaningful words to mark the occasion, saying: "Without fail, wherever WOW gathers, I have met the most extraordinary and impressive women who have, quite simply, refused to take ‘no’ for an answer.
She continued: "Some of them have a significant public profile. Others can’t be named because the work that they do would put their lives, or the lives of those whom they support, in danger.
“All of them have faced obstacles that could easily have intimidated them into a silent resignation to the status quo."
