Lady Gaga released her seventh studio album Mayhem. The ninth track of the record, How Bad Do U Want Me, instantly raised speculations of Taylor Swift’s secret cameo in the new song.
The fans of the two popstars, Swifties and Little Monsters, couldn’t hold their horses, as one user took to X to write: “how bad do u want me being a straight up taylor swift song.”
Another noticed that the song gave pop sensation Grammy-winning album 1989's vibes, writing: “the production? the vocal style? the lyrics? It’s screaming 2014-2019 Taylor.”
Although fans went wild with their theories, saying they hear the Bad Blood singer humming some of the lyrics, but it is far from reality.
It has been confirmed by Page Six that the 35-year-old singer is no-where on the track, proving all the flying rumours to be false.
The collaboration between Gaga and Swift was long due as the two haven’t performed together in any song.
Earlier, the Bloody Mary hitmaker mentioned that she is a fan of New Romantics songstress as she spoke in an interview with Vogue: “I go on the internet and like cry.”
She mentioned couple of her favourite artists such as Billie Eilish, Charli XCX and Chappell Roan, adding: “I love Taylor Swift too. And Kesha. I watch it all, and I’m like, Yup. Go! Just go.”
While Lady Gaga and Blank Space singer didn’t team up this time, the future might bring the two pop queens together, making fans’ wishes come true.
