Lisa Kudrow, who is very popular because of her work on the hit series, Friends, recently recalled feeling left out with co-stars.
The actress played the character Phoebe, with Jennifer Aniston as Rachel, Courteney Cox as Monica, Matt LeBlanc as Joey, Matthew Perry as Chandler, and David Schwimmer as Ross.
Upon the revival of her 2005 series, The Comeback season 3, the 62-year-old gushed about how no one “cared” about her.
In an interview with The Independent, she stated, “There was no vision for me, and no expectations about the kind of career I could have. There was just, like, ‘boy is she lucky she got on that show,”
She added that she was referred as the “sixth” friend by the agency as she later also discovered that she was always considered “the other” one.
Lisa said that she was never offered a role of main lead and always a secondary role, which at that time really frustrated her.
She further added, “I was the odd one out. I thought… maybe? I mean, it’s a good show, but I don’t know about that. But I’m just that kind of person.”
Upon seeing the struggle of his friend, the director, Michael Patrick King, decided to make a show, reflecting Lisa’s experience and hence, The Comeback was made.
It is to be noted that the final season 3 was released on March 22.
