Jamie Lee Curtis' celebrates five decades in industry

Jamie Lee Curtis recently celebrated her 50th year in Hollywood on social media, as fans labeled it as “inspiring” and “coolest.”

The actress took to her Instagram and shared with her fans that she has spent 50 years in the industry as she never thought it would happen.

Recalling the old times, the 67-year-old posted a collage with two pictures showcasing her initial days of acting and the other two, featuring her present self.

The uploaded photo also had a caption that read, “I've been an actress for 50 years. I was never going to be an actor. I thought I'd be a cop.”

She added that in the starting days, she used to be a nurse on the set of Columbo, and now she works as a producer, actor, and a collaborator.

For the unfamiliar, Jamie started her career at the age of 18 as a TV guest star, who later won a Academy Award.

She belongs to a famous family with both parents recognised as legendary stars, Janet Leigh and Tony Curtis.

The “scream queen” had her breakthrough after her 1978 classic horror movie, Halloween.

Now, Jamie has released her new film, Scarpetta, on March 11, 2026, which has garnered tons of public praise.
