Tom Holland has admitted there were times when he had to pretend to be excited about films he was promoting even though he did not secretly believe they were very good.
Speaking on the Dish from Waitrose podcast the actor said promoting a movie becomes much easier when you genuinely love the final product.
This time however Holland said he is enjoying every moment of promoting The Odyssey and Spider-Man: Brand New Day because he is truly proud of both projects.
Laughing Holland recalled thinking to himself that people "probably shouldn't" see some of those movies but he still had to smile, promote them and encourage fans to buy tickets.
Reflecting on his current press tour Holland described it as a "victory lap" saying it feels different because he fully believes in the work he has done this year.
The actor has also been making headlines after becoming the first celebrity to throw up during the spicy wing challenge on Hot Ones.
Holland laughed off the moment joking that he was happy to be the first guest in the show's history to do so.
Once his promotional tour wraps up Holland will begin training for his next major role as legendary dancer Fred Astaire with plans to perform all of the dance sequences himself.
