Rosie O’Donnell is looking back on one of the most memorable moments from her long-running daytime talk show, revealing that actress Delta Burke was the guest who surprised her the most.

Speaking to People, the comedian and television host reflected on her years hosting The Rosie O’Donnell Show from 1996 to 2002, when she earned the nickname "Queen of Nice" for her warm interviewing style.

While she welcomed hundreds of celebrities to the program, O’Donnell said Burke left a lasting impression with her spontaneity and kindness.

O’Donnell recalled that Burke, best known for starring in Designing Women, appeared on the show in 1996 and unexpectedly invited herself to O’Donnell’s home after the interview.

As per the publication, the pair spent the evening eating Chinese food, chatting and spending time with O’Donnell’s young child, creating what she described as an unforgettable experience.

The television personality said Burke’s warmth and authenticity caught her off guard, explaining that their off-camera connection was as genuine as their on-air chemistry.

Moreover, the encounter remained one of the standout memories from her six seasons as a daytime host.

Although Burke was her biggest surprise, O’Donnell also named comedian Martin Short as her favorite guest of all time, praising his quick wit, generosity and ability to entertain both on and off camera.

O’Donnell is currently performing her one-woman stage show, Common Knowledge, in New York after spending more than a year living in Ireland.
