Zendaya's outfits spark MJ death theory ahead of 'Spider-Man: Brand New Day'

Zendaya has Spider-Man fans buzzing with speculation after her recent promotional appearances sparked a new theory about the fate of her famous character MJ in the upcoming Spider-Man: Brand New Day.

The 29-year-old actress has been stepping out in a series of all-black outfits during the film's press tour leading some fans to wonder if her wardrobe is secretly hinting at a heartbreaking twist in the Marvel sequel.

The theory started spreading after fans compared Zendaya's outfit picks to Millie Bobby Brown who previously revealed she wore black during the Stranger Things press tour because she was "mourning" her character's fate.

With Spider-Man films often featuring the death of someone close to Peter Parker some viewers are now worried that MJ could be the next major casualty.

Some fans pointed to another detail noting that Zendaya wore white during promotional events in China and in their culture the colour white is worn on the occasion of mourning.

"And she wore white in China where white is for funerals. NOOOOOO," one fan posted.

"I'M SO SCARED," one fan wrote, while another said, "I really don't think it would make sense to kill her off."

Others dismissed the theory altogether like one user commenting, "STOP IT. Black queens wear black. That's all there is to it."

Another revived a long-running Spider-Man fan theory writing, "It's obvious because Spider-Man is looking at her on the poster, and the person he's looking at dies every time."
