Lauren Conrad candidly voiced how she had replaced the 30s checklist mentality with a new contentedness in life as she moved into her forties.

The former Laguna Beach and The Hills star talked to People exclusively at the Reunion, Laguna Beach soirée in Santa Monica on March 26.

The American TV personality and fashion designer who turned forty in February looked back upon her priority shifts.

"I spent my 30s and a lot of my 20s working so hard just being like, 'I want to do more. I want to take on more,'" she recounted.

She explained, "now I think I've reached a place where I'm just so content. I have a really good work-life balance."

Moreover, she noted, "I'm just trying to enjoy this moment. My kids are still pretty young, and I want to spend all the time I can with them."

Conrad has two children, son Liam, eight, and daughter Charlie, six, with her husband William Tell, the guitarist of Something Corporate.

The couple met in 2012, although Conrad remembered having spotted Tell first at one of his concerts when she was 16 and in 2014 they got married.

She remembered her milestone birthday on which she celebrated with a Senior Prom-themed party, Conrad marked that her perspective has changed.

Stating, "In my 30s, it felt like a checklist, like, 'By the time I'm this age, I want to do this and this.'"

"Now I'm like, 'You're good. You can slow down and enjoy it,'" the Legally Blonde: The Musical actress concluded.
