Billie Eilish is honoring the late drummer Taylor Hawkins.

To pay tribute to the late Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins, Billie Eilish invited Dave Grohl from the band.

On Thursday, December 15, 2022, Eilish was giving a performance at the Kia Forum arena when she asked Grohl to join her on stage. She remarked, "I would like to invite a friend of mine," as tens of thousands of people applauded the former Nirvana drummer as he entered the stage, according to CNN.

Grohl recalled the 2022 Grammys, where Eilish took the stage wearing a shirt honoring Hawkins, who passed away suddenly just weeks earlier.

“Earlier this year, all of the Foo Fighters and our families gathered together at my house to watch the Grammys, and when Billie came out for her performance in the Taylor Hawkins t-shirt, the room was filled with real tears of love and gratitude,” Grohl said.

“From our families who are here tonight, the Hawkins family, and everyone, I’d like to thank you very much today.”

“Let’s sing it for Taylor,” he said.

The two proceeded to perform a duet on the Foo Fighters song "My Hero" from 1998 while Grohl sat on stools and played guitar.

On March 25, 2022, in Bogotá, Colombia, Hawkins passed away at the age of 50 from a heroin overdose. Just a few hours later, he was scheduled to play with the band at a music festival.
