James Bond producer Barbara Broccoli has recently reflected on her “very distressing meeting” with Amy Winehouse.

According to Independent, Broccoli met with Winehouse in 2008 to talk about writing the theme song for Quantum of Solace starring Daniel Craig.

However, the movie’s producer revealed that the singer was “very fragile emotionally” when they met.

“She was very fragile emotionally, and you know, you understood how she could create such moving material, because she has a great depth of feeling and it was very, very tragic,” she told Entertainment Weekly.

Broccoli continued, “Well, that was a very, very distressing meeting. She was not at her best and my heart really went out to her.”

Reflecting on her singing journey, Broccoli added, “What an incredible talent, what an incredible voice, what an incredible person she was. And it was very, very sad.”

The movie producer mentioned that the theme song for Craig’s spy movie titled Another Way To Die was then recorded by Jack White and Alicia Keys.

Earlier this year, White explained, “We were asked to step in because Winehouse wasn’t showing up to the sessions or wasn’t delivering the song that they were asking her to do.”

For the unversed, Winehouse passed away in 2011 from alcohol overdose.

Meanwhile, Billie Eilish and her brother Finneas became the first American songwriters to win Best Original Song for Craig’s movie No Time To Die at the Oscars this year.
