Selena Gomez was born on July 22, 1992 in Texas, United States to parents Mandy Teefay and Ricardo Joel Gomez. She first began her career as a child actor in the television series Barney & Friends. In her teen years, Selena rose to fame with her role as Alex Russo on the Disney Channel’s Wizards of Waverly Place. Later on she transitioned into her musical career, releasing her solo debut album Stars Dance in 2013. The singer went on to make some smashing pop hits like Come & Get It, Same Old Love and Lose You To Love e among many.

Alongside her singing career, Selena took up the role of executive producer of hit Netflix series 13 Reasons Why and Living Undocumented. On the acting side, she starred in Only Murders in the Building and lent her voice to the Hotel Transylvania animated series.
