Selena Gomez sets the record straight on viral 'one more album' comment

Selena Gomez has finally cleared up the misconceptions surrounding her viral "one more album" comment in a new interview with Rolling Stone.

Earlier this year, the Calm Down hitmaker went viral for saying, "I feel like I have one more album in me” on a podcast.

Clarifying the comment, Gomez shared that “It’s not that it’s, ‘no, never’” when it comes to music, but she may take longer “breaks” to focus more on her acting career.

“I think it’s natural for people to take breaks, but I think for me, there is a whole other aspect to my life, pride and joy” the 31-year-old said.

The Grammy-nominated artist further said, “I love film. I love TV. I just feel like I haven’t done a lot of the things that I want to do in that space.”

“It’s not that it’s ‘no, never’ [to music], it’s more that I would like to explore that world a bit more and have the time to actually do that,” continued the Only Murders in the Building actress.

“I do feel like I have one more album in me, but I would probably choose acting,” she added.

For those unversed, Gomez recently released her first single of 2024 Love On on February 22.
