Anne Hathaway and Emily Blunt are opening up about the celebrated actress Meryl Streep and one of her iconic dialogues from The Devil Wears Prada which was actually unscripted.
The actresses have marked their return with The Devil Wears Prada 2 which is why they took a trip down memory lane and reflected on their experience on the first film.
In a resurfaced interview with Variety, originally published in 2023, the Oppenheimer read out a line by the Sophie’s Choice actress, “Is there a reason my coffee isn’t here has she died or something?” asking the Ella Enchanted star if she remembers that one.
The duo then discussed that there would be a lot of improvisation on set and Anne stated, “You too by the way I remember that I remember coming in after seeing like Meryl come up with like 18 different lines on the spot, Stanley doing the same, you and I was just like this kindergartener.”
Emily attempted to contest when the Interstellar star interjected to recall asking the English actress how she was good, to which the former simply said by practicing the day before.
