Anne Hathaway has recently opened up about making a career change after her latest movie, Mother Mary.
The American actress speaks to PEOPLE at the red carpet at the Metrograph in New York City for a special screening of the movie and reveals the possibility of becoming a pop star in the future.
“I can’t see that happening,” admits the 43-year-old.
Interestingly, Anne gets into a pop star mindset while filming the movie as she took advice from Charli XCX, who also worked on the soundtrack for the movie and the choreographer Dani Vitale.
The Oscar Award-winning actress points out that she was “able to give me a lot of insight”.
“I wanted to talk to her about the music. She wrote such amazing music that I was going to perform,” explains The Intern actress.
However, Anne tells the outlet that she “also just had a lot of questions for her about what her life was like, what the experience of being a pop star was”.
“I just realised about pop stars is they're endurance athletes who can do it all in platform heels,” notes the Princess Diaries actress.
Anne, who is PEOPLE’s cover star for the 2026 World’s Most Beautiful issue, adds, “They are the most charming people on the planet, and they have this crazy self-belief.”
