Fans have taken to social media after learning that a planned Adrian Grenier cameo in The Devil Wears Prada 2 was left out of the film.
Based on latest findings, Frankel noted that the idea came up in production, but scheduling challenges stopped it from moving forward.
“I had an idea about sneaking him into a cameo, and in the end, it was just too late in our production schedule to make it happen,” he said, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The revelation quickly made the rounds across social media, with fans flooding X and Instagram with reactions.
One fan wrote, "That would’ve been such a fun surprise, a cameo from him would’ve hit hard for the fans—timing really said no this time."
Another netizen posted, "Honestly? Good call. The movie should focus on Miranda, Andy, and the fashion chaos not the unsupportive ex."
A third social media user gushed, "he deserved to appear. he really liked andy and was right about the fashion world being hella toxic. plus he was cutie."
One disappointed fan added, “I actually would have loved to see what Nate was up to. Bring Adrian Grenier back. He deserved better in the first film.”
"That would’ve been such a fun surprise cameo. Seeing Adrian Grenier pop back into The Devil Wears Prada world, even briefly, would’ve hit the nostalgia perfectly. Timing really is everything in filmmaking," a fifth user added.
Notably, the Devil Wears Prada 2 is currently in production with Anne Hathaway and Meryl Streep both returning to their iconic roles.
