Jimmy Fallon made a triple cameo on Saturday Night Live UK this week, joining Ania Magliano and Paddy Young for Weekend Update.
The former SNL host and the current ones dished on Britain’s relationship with the United States, how it is strained and how this was an effort to repair it.
“We’re just two hosts, sat next to a more famous host, asking him to boost our ratings,” Young said candidly after they had introduced the late night show host as their American friend and Weekend Update legend.
As romantic music played in the background, Magliano stated that the US has been seeing other countires but the UK was their first love, and they have given each other so much, such as Harry Styles.
Fallon responded, with a broad smile, “Yeah, we took your Harry Styles and made Benson Boone. Our one flips,” after which the 28-year-old joked, “Sure, merging our cultures has gone badly in the past. Look at Lily Allen’s marriage.”
The trio then reflected on the silver lining of David Harbour, who is American and the English songwriter’s tumultuous relationship which was her album.
