Jamie Dornan gives ‘Bond’ update ahead of SNL UK hosting gig

Jamie Dornan has taken up the duty of hosting the upcoming episode of the new UK version of the longstanding show Saturday Night Live.

The Fifty Shades of Grey actor will be joined by musical guest Wolf Alice, and in a teaser for the show, opened up about being eyed for the highly anticipated Bond.

In the promo, the 43-year-old could be spotted nervously practicing for the gig as the cast members Hammed Animashaun, Celeste Dring and Al Nash approached him with the latter being interrupted by a call.

“Sorry, I’m expecting a call from the Bond people,” Al stated, explaining “down to the last two to play James Bond, it’s just me and Jacob Elordi left so fingers crossed.”

“I was in the running for Bond,” a dejected Jamie said, looking confused as he asked the SNL cast member if he auditioned after which the latter showed an example of how his audition went.

The cast asked the Irish star to show them his Bond, which they were unimpressed by meanwhile Al’s rendition of the classic line sounded like Kermit the Frog.
