The Big Bang Theory highly-anticipated spin-off series, Stuart Fails to Save the Universe has revealed its first look.

The TV series starring Kevin Sussman, Lauren Lapkus, Brian Posehn and John Ross Bowie will be reprising their roles as Staurt Bloom, Denise, Bert Kibbler and Barry Kripke, respectively.

The four cast members took the stage at CCXP Mexico City to tease their project that combines comedy with sci-fi.

HBO Max’s Instagram account posted in a caption alongside the show’s stills: “If at first you don’t succeed, try in another multiverse.”

Along with the debuting photos, the panel revealed that musician Danny Elfman will create an original theme song for the series.

Stuart Fails to Save the Universe centres on Sussman as comic book store owner Stuart Bloom. He was introduced in the original series when Leonard (Johnny Galecki) and Sheldon (Jim Parsons) would visit the shop.

The upcoming follows Stuart doing his best to restore the reality after he breaks a device that Leonard and Sheldon had built, which inadvertently causes a multiverse Armageddon.

Posehn explained the title character to fans, saying, “The fun is watching him fail every week.”

Sussman chimed in saying that viewers will get to learn more about Stuart’s romance with Lapkus’ character, “When The Big Bang Theory ended, our relationship was just budding, and now you can see where it goes.”

The series is created by Chuck Lorre, Zak Penn and Bill Prady. It hails from Chuck Lorre Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television.

Stuart Fails to Save the Universe is slated for release in July 2026 on HBO Max.
