Jim Parsons has broken his silence on a possible return to The Big Bang Theory.
During his recent appearance, the American actor addressed the ongoing fan curiosity.
Speaking on The View, while promoting Titanique, he said, “I don’t believe I would do a reboot I can’t say I miss him, partly because, especially 12 years on a TV show where they’re writing for this specific actor."
“There’s a lot of me in that,” he admitted, adding that while Sheldon Cooper's genius isn’t relatable, many of his traits were shaped around his own personality.
He revealed that he continues to receive strong reactions from fans, even years after the show ended and it still catches him off guard.
“The longer it goes on, I’m more surprised when people approach me,” he added, noting that the love is always “really sweet.”
The hit series ultimately wrapped after Parsons chose to leave following season 12, which reportedly surprised his co-stars.
However, he did briefly return to narrate and appear in Young Sheldon, later describing the experience as both “weird” and “beautiful.
The show ran for 12 seasons (2007–2019) and followed socially awkward scientist friends trying to manage work, relationships, and everyday life.
It starred Kaley Cuoco, Simon Helberg, Kunal Nayyar, Johnny Galecki, and Mayim Bialik.
