Eddie Murphy’s quiet joy as family news spills out in surprise update

Eddie Murphy has shared joyful family news, revealing that he has become a grandfather again.

The 64-year-old Hollywood star made the sweet confession during an appearance at the American Film Institute Achievement Award Ceremony on Saturday, where he confirmed the newest arrivals in his expanding family.

Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, Eddie said warmly: “I just had my first grandson two months ago,” before going on to reveal that the celebrations didn’t stop there.

He added that he had also welcomed another grandchild earlier this month, explaining: “I had my third granddaughter two weeks ago. 

So all this stuff is happening. I’m like it’s raining blessings on me. Raining blessings.”

While the Beverly Hills Cop actor didn’t specify which of his children welcomed the baby boy, reports suggest his daughter Bria, 36, may have recently become a mum.

Notably, she was seen showing a baby bump at a red carpet screening of Eddie’s documentary Being Eddie last November.

Then comedian also confirmed that his son Eric, 36, has recently become a father to a baby girl named Ari Skye with his wife Jasmin, whose father is fellow Hollywood star Martin Lawrence, making the two comedy legends now family.

Despite the growing number of grandchildren, Eddie admitted he keeps his parenting philosophy simple. 

When asked if he offers advice, he laughed: “Oh, you don’t give advice like that. Your kids don’t go by your advice. They go by the example you set.”

The Beverly Hills Cop icon is father to 10 children in total and has often spoken about his close-knit family life.
