Eddie Murphy shares major update on ‘Beverly Hills Cop 5’ and ‘Shrek 5’

Eddie Murphy is enjoying the best time of his acting career as he has not only received AFI honour but also going to appear in highly-anticipated movies.

After achieving the 51st AFI Lifetime Achievement Award on Saturday, the Nutty Professor actor speaks to Extra and shares his reaction over the honour.

“This is a beautiful event and all my kids are here,” says Eddie.

The Norbit actor explains that he has been making movies he was 24-year-old and now Eddie is 65, so “that’s a long time” to be here in the industry.

“This business is the place where people come and go as most people don’t get to be around it for long, so it’s a great feeling,” mentions Eddie.

Elsewhere in the interview, the actor gives update on upcoming movies like Beverly Hills Cop 5 and Shrek 5.

Eddie responds that Beverly Hill Cop 5 is not going to be in the immediate future but Shrek 5 and first Donkey movie will be happening very soon.

He expresses excitement to be working on first Donkey movie, which is a bit different from Shrek franchise.

Meanwhile, Eddie also reflects on five decades of his career and when asks to give an advice to his 19-year-old, who made a debut at SNL.

“I never give advice and I would not have given him any advice because I don’t take advices,” he declared.
