Josh Hutcherson has invoked the wrath of Taylor Swift fans, also called swifties, ever since he denied being one and now he is responding to the backlash.
The Hunger Games actor previously stated in an interview that he is not one of the 14-time Grammy winner’s fans, and has just doubled down on his stance while reflecting on public scrutiny.
In a cover story for GQ magazine the actor stated, ““I got some heat because I did a photo shoot with Jordan, and Jordan asked me something about being a [Taylor Swift fan], and I was like, ‘Oh no, I’m definitely not a Swiftie.’”
“All of a sudden it garnered this, ‘Fuck him! He’s a monster! Destroy him! He’s short! He hates her because he’s short!’ [He is 5ft 5in.] “It’s just like, whoa! I think she’s great. Her music is not my kind of music. That is why I don’t want to be online,” Josh added.
The piece clarified that the Bridge to Terabithia actor did not mean his original remark as a critique or judgement.
Notably, Taylor’s fans are known for being overprotective and intense when it comes to the Sparks Fly singer and have also disapproved of Josh’s latest comments on social media.
