Stanley Tucci has shared a lighthearted response after Anne Hathaway jokingly labeled him a “diva” on the set of The Devil Wears Prada 2.
For the unversed, during an appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, the actress joked that Tucci was the “biggest diva” on set because he is “so fussy about his clothes.”
The comment quickly went viral, and Tucci addressed it at the New York City premiere of the fashion film when asked about it by People.
“Yeah… no question,” he said with a laugh, fully agreeing with the playful label.
He then jokingly added, “I’m awful, just terrible.”
The outlet then cleared up the confusion, noting that “diva” is meant as a good thing and usually means confidence.
He agreed with the point and replied, “Yeah, I think you’re right.”
The main ensemble of The Devil Wears Prada, including Tucci, Hathaway, Meryl Streep, and Emily Blunt, has reunited at the New York City world premiere of their forthcoming movie on April 20, 2026, before it hits theaters on May 1.
