Mariah Carey unfazed by Rock & Roll Hall of Fame snub

Mariah Carey has recently set the record straight after being ignored by the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.

The pop icon responds to a question about not being considered for the honour in a candid chat with TMZ.

The Shake Off singer reveals that it didn’t bother her.

When asked if she had a message for her fans, Mariah says that she “loves my fans… Always”.

“Who cares? Like give it to somebody else. Fantastic,” explains the 57-year-old.

The songstress also opens up that she will begin preparing for Christmas, which has become her signature holiday “soon”.

For those unversed, Mariah has reportedly sold more than 200 million albums and 19 of her singles have reached the number one spot on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart.

Earlier in 2024, the Fantasy singer told the Los Angeles Times that she had been disappointed when she didn't make the cut then.

“Everybody was calling me going, 'I think you're getting in!' and so I was excited about it,” mentioned Mariah.

However, the singer added, “Then it didn't happen.”
