Ryan Reynolds, who was recently in the limelight for supporting his wife, Blake Lively, commented on the Marvel fans’ favourite topic.
The actor shared an update regarding the future of Marvel’s movie series, Deadpool, and if it has a future or not.
The internet has been buzzing for quite some time now with multiple rumours as fans think that the character will appear in Marvel’s anticipated hit, Avengers: Doomsday, or might have a standalone movie.
Addressing the topic in an interview with NBC's Sunday Today, he broke the hearts of his fans.
Ryan said, “I have some stuff kind of written, but I don’t think I am ever going to center him again,”
Commenting only about the potential movie dedicated to the character, he said, “He is a supporting character. He is a guy who is great in a group.”
Although industry insiders have claimed that the character is set to emerge in one of Marvel’s projects, fans are now unsure as to what they should believe in.
For the unversed, in an 2024 interview, after the release of Deadpool & Wolverine, the star played coy and teased his fans that he didn’t know the future, but he'd love to wear the costume again, which had fans’ expectations high.
