Sam Asghari breaks silence on ex-wife Britney Spears years after divorce

Sam Asghari has shared rare comments about ex-wife Britney Spears saying he still looks back on their relationship with respect despite their split.

"I always like to stay respectful of the past. I love to celebrate the past and, you know, what happens in your life in every chapter," Asghari said.

He added, "It's nothing but love and nothing but experiences that you get to learn."

Earlier this year Asghari also reacted to reports that Spears had checked into a treatment facility following legal issues.

Speaking to TMZ he welcomed the news saying: "I think it's great."

He continued, "I think anything that has anything to do with healing and great things … and as long as the person is in charge of that, it's all great."

When asked whether he had been in contact with Spears Asghari simply replied, "Uh, no."
