James McAvoy breaks internet as fans flood birthday tributes

James McAvoy rang in his 47th birthday on Tuesday as fans across the globe poured out their love for the Scottish star on social media.

The internet buzzed with birthday tributes as fans shared messages on X(formerly Twitter).

One admirer write, "Happy birthday to the talented James McAvoy!"

"Happy birthday to James McAvoy!!!The actor turns 47 today.Happy birthday to the Beast. I still think this edited post is one, if not the, most important post from Roaring Kitty," another chimed in.

A third gushed,"Happy birthday James McAvoy !"

An excited fan penned, "How did I not know we have the same birthday." 

Among the many tributes, one fan posted, "James McAvoy is already 47... I'm getting there too...!!! I haven't caught up on his recent works..."

On the workfront, the actor recently stepped behind the camera for the first time with California Schemin, which opened in UK cinemas on April 10.

He is also set to appear in Meantime, a Sky crime thriller alongside Christopher Eccleston and Benedict Wong, with the series currently in pre production.
