Lamar Odom downplays Khloe’s role in life-saving recovery

Lamar Odom is opening up about his 2015 near-fatal overdose and insists it wasn’t his ex-wife Khloe Kardashian who saved him but it was a "miracle".

The 46-year-old former NBA star revealed in a recent Today show interview: "God saved my life. My lord saved my life, honestly."

Lamar, who was married to Khloe from 2009 until 2016, suffered six heart attacks and 12 strokes and spent three days in a coma before months of grueling rehab.

While Khloe, did pause their divorce proceedings and helped with his recovery, Lamar downplayed her role.

When host Sheinelle Jones mentioned that many felt the 41-year-old reality tv star "rode hard" for him, he said she "took care" of him, but quickly added: "God took care of me the most. What I came back from is like a medical miracle."

The tumultuous period of their relationship was revisited in Netflix’s Untold: The Death and Life of Lamar Odom, where the Kardashian star candidly spoke about Lamar’s struggles with drugs.

She recounted searching for him for hours, cleaning up after his relapses, and feeling like an unknowing enabler as she tried to hold their lives together.

Khloe, meanwhile, has recently shared a very different perspective, opening up about her outlook on life and death.

On her Khloe In Wonder Land podcast, she admitted she has "absolutely no fear about death" and said she feels ready to reunite with loved ones in the afterlife.

She explained: "I know where I'm going. I’m excited to go there… it’s going to be such a beautiful place."
