Keanu Reeves warns wannabe stars: 'Try not to be a f*** a***'

Keanu Reeves has delivered some blunt but heartfelt advice to aspiring actors, and it’s as no-nonsense as you’d expect from the beloved star.

The 61-year-old, who appears alongside Cameron Diaz in upcoming black comedy Outcome, didn’t sugar-coat his message when speaking about life on set.

In his signature laid-back style, Keanu urged newcomers to keep their egos in check and treat colleagues with respect, no matter the circumstances.

“Try not to be a f****** a******,” he said candidly.

“Go to work and respect who you're working with until they prove they don't get your respect. It might not work out, but try.”

His co-star Cameron, however, offered a more reflective take on navigating fame.

The Hollywood veteran admitted there’s no rulebook for success, insisting every star must carve their own path in the spotlight.

“There’s no handbook on being famous,” she explained.

“You’ve got to write your own story and make it your own. Reach out to people you admire and learn from them, but ultimately, no one knows what it’s going to be like.”

Meanwhile, The Matrix star also lifted the lid on one of his earliest and strangest, Hollywood experiences.

When he first arrived in Los Angeles as a young actor, he was encouraged to ditch his now-famous name altogether.

In fact, the star nearly reinvented himself as “Chuck Spadina”, a quirky nod to his middle name and childhood street.

He even briefly went by “KC Reeves” before realising it simply didn’t feel right.

“I wouldn’t even answer to it,” he admitted.

“Six months later, I said, ‘I’m not doing this.’”
