Olivia Rodrigo, who shared a close bond with chart-topper, Taylor Swift, recently opened up about the online speculations.
Notably, the duo shared mutual admiration for one another in 2020-2021 but soon after stopped speaking to each other, which indicated an ongoing rift.
Now, sitting with the hosts, Joe Coscarelli and Jon Caramanica for their The New York Times’ Popcast, the drop dead hit maker has confessed how she feels being under constant scrutiny.
When asked, "there is a lot of sort of public speculation about your relationship with Taylor...How do you view that layer of scrutiny?"
She stated, "I don't read much about it. I think that's part of the territory, part of what comes with the job. There aren't enough hours in the day,"
The drivers license songstress also added, "If I dove into every detective work the internet tries to do, right or wrong, about my life and relationships, I'd go crazy."
It is to be noted that Olivia has always described herself as the "biggest swiftie" but things took a turn when she mentioned in one interview that her particular song was inspired by Taylor' song, Cruel Summer.
After some time, Lovers songwriter's team reportedly pushed for retroactive songwriting credits on Olivia’s hit song, causing a grudge between the two.
