Kanye West, who now goes by Ye, has marked a surprising chart comeback alongside the beloved K-pop group BTS, which also put out their comeback album.

BTS released their highly anticipated album Arirang on March 20th, while Ye dropped his only days later on March 28th after teasing the record for a long time.

According to Billboard charts, the South Korean boy band’s sixth studio album Arirang is No. 1 on the albums chart with 187,000 equivalent album units, down 71% from its opening week with 641,000.

Meanwhile the Runaway rapper’s Bully has entered the chart at No. 2, becoming his 14th album to hit the top 10. It debuts with 152,000 equivalent album units, with album sales making up for 56,000 of that figure.

The once-celebrated rapper’s previous albums such as Donda 2 and Vultures were looked down upon and were condemned because of his antisemetic remarks and controversial behaviour.

Ye has since apologised for his past actions and behaviours, which has seemingly allowed him to book massive arenas and also garner streaming success.

Notably, number three on the chart is also an artist making a comeback as the spot is tke up by Melanie Martinez and her brand new album Hades.
