Kanye West, Lauryn Hill send netizens wild with epic onstage surprise

Kanye West is marking a strong comeback in America, by performing a sold-out concert at Los Angeles’ SoFi stadium alongside beloved hip-hop icons.

The Runaway rapper was joined by his Father collaborator,Travis Scott, on night two of the series of shows but what was more surprising was an appearance from one the former’s idols Lauryn Hill.

Amid the show with an audience of around 70,000 fans, the Yeezy founder invited the Killing Me Softly singer for the first time ever to perform alongside him.

This duo sang Ye’s 2004 hit All Falls Down, which uses the 50-year-old’s voice as a sample, and later she performed her own tracks Lost Ones and Doo Wop (That Thing) during which the 48-year-old left the stage and later rejoined her for another duet.

CeeLo Green and the Heartless rapper’s tween daughter North West also made appearances during the show, but internet users took to social media to discuss Lauryn’s appearance.

One internet user wrote on X, “Oh Lauryn i can’t support you on this,” as another added, “lauryn hill hanging with a known neo nazi and antisemite.. oh I’m fucking TORNN.”

Others however, left comments like, “what a legendary moment,” and “My brain just did a system reboot. 'All Falls Down' WITH Lauryn?! Ye might've just peaked again.”
