A royal expert claims Prince Harry is privately “fearing” that Prince William could one day strip him, Meghan, and their children of their royal titles, a concern that has reportedly intensified after Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s dramatic demotion.
Biographer Tom Bower, known for his hard-hitting royal books, says King Charles’s late-October decision to remove Andrew’s prince and duke titles was “ruthless” and served as a wake-up call for the Sussexes.
According to Bower, Charles’s move sent shockwaves straight to Montecito.
Bower told The Mirror that Andrew losing his titles “was an unbelievable shock” for Harry and that the moment “changes everything.”
He believes Harry now “must really fear that William will strip him, Meghan and the children of their titles” when he becomes king.
The biographer alleges the Sussexes are now “on borrowed time and vulnerable,” adding that William remains furious.
According to Bower: “I don’t think there is anything they can do to reverse the hurt they have caused Kate and William, and William is still furious.”
“The threat is they’ll do something foolish and damaging to the royal family.”
However, he also acknowledged that removing their titles wouldn’t be as straightforward as Charles’s move against Andrew.
He believes Charles himself won’t do it, and legally the bar is much higher. But Bower still insists the outcome is coming: “They would have to be very careful about how they do it, but I think it is inevitable.”
